Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 March 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Crowswatch website and services ("Service") operated by Crowswatch ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, accessing the website, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Description of the service
Crowswatch is a service monitoring platform that aggregates the status of third-party services, APIs, and infrastructure into a single dashboard. The Service allows users to track service health, receive alerts when incidents occur, and collaborate with team members on monitoring.
Crowswatch monitors publicly available status information from third-party providers. We do not control the accuracy or availability of that information and are not responsible for the performance of those third-party services.
3. Account registration and responsibilities
To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Ensuring that any information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or systems connected to the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service.
- Use the Service to transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Resell, sublicence, or redistribute the Service without our prior written consent.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal API usage.
5. Service availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable and available service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice of significant changes. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
6. Fees and payments
Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as specified at the time of purchase.
- All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Changes will apply at the start of your next billing cycle.
- If payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the payment is resolved.
Free plans are offered at our discretion and may be subject to usage limits. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free plans with reasonable notice.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is owned by Crowswatch and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to use, process, and store your data solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Crowswatch and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or fifty pounds sterling (£50), whichever is greater.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that the results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable, or that any third-party status information displayed through the Service will be complete or timely.
10. Termination and suspension
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if:
- You breach any provision of these Terms.
- Your use of the Service poses a security risk or may cause harm to other users.
- We are required to do so by law.
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will remain in effect.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and close your account.
